We are interested in understanding the molecular basis of intellectual disability and memory formation.
We use a simple model to investigate memory in Drosophila and its relation to human diseases such as intellectual disability and autism.
We also use Drosophila to investigate disorders affecting locomotion and motor function.
In addition, we use cutting edge technologies in human patients with intellectual disability and autism to discover novel genes associated with these conditions.
We also have a volunteer program in intellectual disability. You can join the program and then volunteer in our clinics and research activity.
